Fran Kramer

Fran Kramer has lived in Cornwall since 2014. She and her husband have three children who have enjoyed the benefits of the Cornwall Library for many years.  Fran is an optometrist practicing in Newburgh.  She views serving on the library board as a way of helping to make our town and community a better place.

I love our library. When I moved to Cornwall with two little babes in winter 2022, the library was the first place I regularly went to each week. It is at the library and shortly after then with a moms’ hiking group, that I made my closest friends. Since then, I have enjoyed so many hiking trails, happenings, and places to eat or feed chickens our community has to offer – all with two kids (Lavin – 3, & Rhys – 4) in hand (or, on shoulders). This mother’s work has been incredibly rewarding, and things are shifting for me. Now that my kids are a little older, I am excited to contribute to our community in more meaningful ways. I couldn’t think of a better place than the library to regularly show up, help with decision-making, and advocate for its future. I look forward to serving our community.
