Join us for a talk about site-specific artworks at Storm King Art Center. We will take an in-depth look at one work in the collection which was created specifically for the Art Center with natural materials found at Storm King.
The session focuses on Patricia Johanson’s Nostoc ll. Created in 1975, this installation is the first commissioned work to be created entirely on-site with materials exclusively from this property. Ellen Grenley, the Center’s Assistant Director of Education, will lead an interactive participant conversation.
Storm King is a 500-acre outdoor museum where visitors experience large-scale sculpture under open sky. Since 1960, artists have been supported in this beautiful landscape.
This program will be presented through Zoom and there is limited space. Please register here starting July 13. Zoom links will be provided on the day of program.
