Our virtual parenting book discussion group seeks to provide parents a sense of community and support as we raise our children through difficult and unprecedented times.
Many parents are grappling with a seemingly impossible decision about the upcoming school year. As you work to discern what the right path is for your child’s education, let’s consider all of the possibilities together.
“Unschooled: Raising Curious, Well-Educated Children Outside the Conventional Classroom” by Kerry McDonald and Peter Gray challenges our existing notions of what education looks like and why it came to be this way. It asks us to critically evaluate what the goal or intention is behind our child’s educational journey, while allowing us a deeper understanding of our options beyond the conventional schooling model.
Facilitated by Kerin Santos
